Privacy Policy

Sekine ("the app") is published by Hugo Software. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does with your information.

The short version

Sekine does not collect any personal data. Nothing you enter leaves your device.

The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests and works fully in airplane mode.

What is stored, and where

Everything you create in Sekine is written to a private database inside the app's own storage area on your phone:

  • Mood check-ins — the state you selected, any reason tags, an optional short note, and the time of the entry.
  • Dhikr sessions — which phrase you chose, your count, your target and how long the session lasted.
  • Settings — interface language, sound on/off, haptics on/off.

This data is never uploaded, never synced to a cloud service, never backed up to our servers (we operate none for this app) and never shared with anyone. We cannot see it. No employee of Hugo Software has any means of accessing it.

What we do not do

  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or any account identifier — there is no account.
  • We do not collect your advertising ID, device ID or location.
  • We do not use analytics or measurement SDKs.
  • We do not show ads and we do not integrate any advertising SDK.
  • We do not sell, rent or share data with third parties, because we do not receive any.

Permissions

Sekine requests no runtime permissions. It does not ask for the microphone, camera, location, contacts, storage or notifications.

Audio content

The app contains no recorded human voice and no recitation audio. Its sounds are either generated mathematically on your device or come from a small set of percussion samples released under the CC0 1.0 public-domain dedication (FreePats world percussion). These files are bundled inside the app.

Deleting your data

You are always in control:

  • Settings → Reset all my data erases every check-in, session and setting immediately.
  • Uninstalling the app removes all of its stored data from your device.

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side, and no request to us is necessary.

Children

Sekine is suitable for all ages. It contains no user-generated content sharing, no chat, no social features and no external links to third-party content. As the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date above. Because the app does not communicate with any server, changes will always be in the direction of describing the app more accurately, not of collecting more.
